Originally, the plan for our March meeting was to have a presentation on Test Driven Development. Sadly, our speaker had to cancel but fortunately, NxtGen’s John Price volunteered to do a Windows Media Centre presentation .
This was a really interesting session, especially for those such as myself who have not used Media Centre very much.
His presentation included an overview of Media Centre Markup Language (MCML), the language used for writing Media Centre applications. Perhaps the most surprising thing for me is that Visual Studio doesn’t include a design surface to enable UIs to be designed graphically.
To simplify development, John mentioned the McmlPad tool. Other interesting sites that were mentioned include:

Given the very short notice, John did a sterling job and we all appreciate him taking the time to visit us. Thanks John!
