MonoRail with Ian Cooper

Earlier on this evening, I attended the Oxford NxtGen meeting featuring Ian Cooper from the London.Net User Group. Well done to Barry for organising this!
For those unaware of MonoRail, it’s a MVC framework for ASP.Net which is inspired by Ruby. 
Ian began by describing the MVC pattern and gave a great explanation of the purpose of the model, view and controller. The rest of the session included code and demonstrations on how to create an application and performing simple CRUD operations. Other areas touched upon included NVelocity and the ASP.Net MVC Framework.

Also speaking was Steve Wilmot who gave a detailed talk on file IO performance using C#. All in all, the sessions tonight were very interesting!
