VBUG Conference 26th November 2009

Over the past few months, things have been busy for me hence my lack of recent postings. Despite this, the VBUG group carries on and following my promotion to VBUG Chariman, I’m still very active in my home region of Bracknell. Over the past couple of months, we’ve had some excellent events including presentations from Grumpy DBA Colin Leversuch-Roberts and Andrew Hallmark, who gave an excellent presentation on DotNetNuke.

Later on this month, our annual conference takes place and we still have spaces left if you wish to attend. This will be a full day event held at the Microsoft Headquarters in Reading on the 26th November. During the day, we have some really interesting content and a great line up of speakers. For those who are still learning about the .Net 3 Framework, David Ringsell will be doing an introduction to WPF. We will also have a session on refactoring by Gary Short and a session on concurrency using functional patterns in C# by Oliver Sturm. During the conference, there will also be Windows Mobile Device workshop which will be run by Tony Whitter.
