Visual Studio 2010 – Insufficient available memory

image

When pressing <ctrl>+C to do a copy, I’ve sometimes seen the error:

Insufficient available memory to meet the expected demands of an operation at this time, possibly due to virtual address space fragmentation.  Please try again later.

This issue is documented below and you can delay this problem by using the following command from an elevated command prompt:

bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072
